Perinatal Loss Across Montana

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and we want to take this opportunity to increase awareness and support across Montana.

I have had the privilege of connecting with individuals and organizations who are working to support families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Through these conversations, one thing has become clear: there is meaningful work happening in communities across our state, but many of us are doing it independently and may benefit from stronger connections with one another.

Following a conversation with Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies and other partners, I am reaching out to gauge interest in a statewide conversation focused on pregnancy and infant loss support.

The goal is not to create another obligation or formal program, but rather to learn from one another, better understand what resources currently exist across Montana, identify gaps and opportunities, and explore ways we might support families and professionals more effectively together.

If this topic is relevant to your work, organization, or lived experience, please complete this brief form so we can start getting a sense of what is already out there.

We will meet on October 7th at 10-11 am via Teams (reach out for a calendar invite) to:

  • Learn what currently exists in communities across Montana

  • Identify challenges and unmet needs

  • Explore what, if any, statewide collaboration would be most helpful moving forward

Please feel free to share this invitation with others who may have an interest in this work.

Thank you for all that you do to support Montana families.

Reach out with any questions.
